Job summary

Vanguard Truck Centers LLC is hiring Diesel Technicians to diagnose and repair diesel trucks and equipment at our Houston-area facilities. You will collaborate with the parts team, document work, and participate in manufacturer training while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• CDL license eligibility is preferred or required in some roles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair on diesel trucks or equipment.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Communicates with service advisor if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Keeps documents of work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Supervises work of apprentices as assigned.
• Maintains and ensures safety and cleanliness of the shop area.
