Job summary

JP Mascaro & Sons is seeking a Lead/Master Diesel Technician for our Souderton, PA division. You will repair and maintain diesel trash trucks, cabs, trailers, and related equipment to keep a reliable fleet for our routes.

You would perform preventive service, diagnostics, in‑frame overhauls, and component replacements, while producing precise write ups. A CDL and ASEs are highly desired, and a strong work ethic with independence is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a heavy‑duty diesel mechanic.
• Experience with diagnostics and diagnostic software.
• Knowledge of safe operation of garage tools, lifts, and jacking equipment.
• Ability to identify and obtain replacement parts and read technical manuals.
• A valid driver's license and ASE certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain diesel trash trucks, cabs, trailers, and related equipment.
• Perform regular preventative service and component replacements as needed.
• Diagnose malfunctions, perform in‑frame engine overhauls and bench transmissions work.
• Create precise tech write ups and conduct basic failure analyses.
• Assist and train trainees while maintaining efficient repair times.
