Job summary

JP Mascaro & Sons, Wyoming Valley Division in Nanticoke, PA, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and construction equipment per manufacturer specs. You will identify and source replacement parts and perform major assemblies work, with room for growth in a family-owned, performance-driven shop.

The ideal candidate has a diesel tech degree or equivalent experience, strong tool safety knowledge, and a valid driver’s license. CDL/ASE preferred.

Qualifications

Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training or relative and transferable experience.
Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and software.
Knowledge in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment.
Ability to read, understand and interpret technical data via instruction manuals.
A valid driver’s license.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic, repair and maintenance on trucks, construction equipment, including auxiliary components in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.
Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
Special projects and other job duties as assigned.
