JP Mascaro & Sons in Reading, PA is seeking a diesel technician for full-time work. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and construction equipment, using a range of garage tools, diagnostic gear, lifts, and hoists.

Responsibilities include identifying needed parts and ensuring warranty compliance. Candidates should have a diesel engine technical degree or related experience, strong reading of technical manuals, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• Diesel engine technical degree or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and garage tools.
• Ability to identify and obtain replacement parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, repair and maintenance on trucks and construction equipment according to manufacturer specs.
• Operate garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment safely.
• Identify and obtain replacement parts needed to complete repairs.
• Adhere to warranty policies and procedures.
• Analyze problems independently and resolve them safely.
• Repair or replace major assemblies and systems including powertrain, electrical, HVAC, brakes, hydraulics; perform related machine shop tasks.
