Job summary

WM in Duluth, MN is seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic to keep trucks and equipment on the road. The role offers Monday–Friday hours with an optional schedule and shifts at 4:30am–2:30pm or 8:00am–6:00pm in our Duluth shop.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements with/without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs.
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Safety checks on vehicles and compliance with OSHA standards.
• Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times.
• Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
• Review or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety procedures.
