Hours and Location

• Monday – Friday
• 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
• (You must be able to rotate between Saint Paul, MN and Somerset, WI locations)

• The normal setting for this job is a repair/maintenance shop at our Saint Paul, MN hauling site.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles – the safety of every employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority.
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Assist senior mechanics in the completion of project work.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

• A valid driver’s license.

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Required to exert physical effort that will include but is not limited to frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constantly standing, walking, and grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing.
• Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often.
• Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often.
• This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.

Pay

The expected base pay range for this on‑site position is $30.31 - $45.49. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
