Job summary

Denali Water Solutions Llc is seeking an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, and processing machinery at the Advance, NC facility. You will lead the shop, prioritize repairs, and mentor junior mechanics to keep equipment safe and on the road.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, ability to diagnose engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and a commitment to safety and preventive maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with heavy equipment and diesel trucks.
• Experience repairing Class A trucks and trailers.
• Strong hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Strong electrical diagnostic skills.
• Must provide your own mechanic tools.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day work in the shop and prioritize repairs.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and drivetrains.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.
• Work on Class A trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Perform repairs on bulldozers, loaders, excavators, skid steers, and forestry equipment.
• Weld, cut, fabricate, and modify equipment as needed.
• Train and mentor other mechanics and ensure safety procedures.
