Job summary

Patriot Disposal / Apple Valley Waste in Mount Union, PA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Level B & C) to lead from the front and keep our fleet in top condition. This full-time role includes a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and opportunities for career growth in a fast-growing waste and recycling company.

You will perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks and heavy equipment, while ensuring safety standards and maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training in diesel mechanics preferred.
• CDL is a plus.
• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and brakes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests, maintenance, and repairs on diesel-powered waste management trucks and heavy equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance: engine checks, fluids, brakes, tires.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues; replace worn or damaged parts.
