LiquidPower Specialty Products Inc. is seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic to support the Chickasha, Oklahoma terminal. You’ll blend hands-on diesel repair expertise with shop leadership to keep our fleet safe, compliant, and road-ready, guiding technicians and third-party partners while partnering with the Fleet Maintenance Manager.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, downtime reduction, and safety, with opportunities to train others and drive high standards across maintenance operations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience on tank, van, and flatbed trailers.
  • Associate degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent, or high school diploma with 2+ years of Class 8 tractor experience.
  • Strong diesel diagnostics and repair skills with leadership potential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily maintenance support for the Chickasha terminal and nearby locations.
  • Direct and supervise maintenance technicians and third-party repair shops.
  • Ensure work is completed on schedule and according to procedures.
  • Inspect completed work and provide coaching or corrective feedback as needed.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain company tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and prove trailers.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
  • Train and support technicians and third-party maintenance personnel.
  • Perform work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company safety standards.
  • Assist with additional shop and terminal responsibilities as assigned.

Keep a high-performing fleet moving safely

LSP Transport is hiring a Lead Diesel Mechanic to support our Chickasha, Oklahoma terminal. In this role, you’ll combine hands‑on diesel repair expertise with shop leadership to help keep our fleet safe, compliant, and road‑ready. you’ll guide maintenance technicians and third-party repair partners, support preventive maintenance programs, and work closely with the Fleet Maintenance Manager to reduce downtime and maintain high safety standards.

What You'll Do
  • Lead daily maintenance support for the Chickasha terminal and assigned locations
  • Direct and supervise LSP Transport maintenance technicians and third-party repair shops
  • Ensure maintenance and non-maintenance work is completed on schedule and according to company procedures
  • Inspect completed work and provide coaching or corrective feedback when needed

What We’re Looking For
  • Strong diesel diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair experience
  • Leadership ability with a hands‑on, team‑first approach

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and timely completion of work
  • Comfortable using computers and Windows‑based systems
Required Skills
  • Proficiency with PC and Windows operating systems
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as Cummins Insite, Bendix, Meritor, or equivalent software
  • Experience using Paccar ESA, DAVIE4, or similar diagnostic equipment
  • Welding experience
Education And Experience
  • 3+ years of direct, hands‑on experience working on tank trailers, van trailers, flatbed trailers, and related parts and systems
  • Associate degree in Automotive Technology or a related field or
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 2+ years of direct, hands‑on experience as a commercial Class 8 tractor mechanic
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current CDL with tanker and hazardous materials endorsements
