Job summary

Pros Mechanics in Long Island, NY is seeking an Experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic to take charge of their shop, overseeing daily repairs and maintenance of commercial heavy-duty diesel trucks. The ideal candidate will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections, conduct D.O.T inspections, and possess strong computer diagnostic skills with a full toolset.

Compensation ranges from $30.00 to $37.00 per hour, with a benefits package and a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:00pm

Qualifications

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults codes and/or vehicle malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• D.O.T inspections experience.

Job description

Our client in Long Island, NY is expanding and looking for anExperienced Lead Diesel Mechanic to take charge of their shop. Technicians should have previous experience repairing and maintaining commercial heavy-duty diesel trucks.

Qualification:

• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting faults codes and/or vehicle malfunctions
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Perform D.O.T inspections

Requirement:

• Strong Computer diagnostic experience
• Should have full set of tools
• Must have basic computer skill
• Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean motor vehicle record

Compensation:

$30.00 – 37.00/hourly, wage range varies based on experience, certification and qualification.

Shift:

Days, 8:00am to 4:00pm (Monday – Friday).
