Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance of our fleet, including diesel and alternative fuel equipment, ensuring repairs comply with safety and regulatory standards. You will lead a team, plan repairs, and coordinate with other departments to keep operations efficient and compliant.

The role requires 3+ years in heavy diesel truck maintenance with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, plus strong organization, leadership, and communication

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of heavy diesel truck maintenance experience.
• 1+ year of lead technician or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily planning and scheduling of repair work to optimize productivity.
• Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate shop personnel and performance.
• Conduct daily shop huddles and fleet walks to ensure safety and compliance.
• Manage inventory control and budget-related expenses.
• Ensure all repairs meet Company safety and regulatory standards.
