Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is hiring a Lead Die Mounter for a first shift role in Devens, MA. Responsible for mounting dies on die cutters, setting up, cleaning up, and improving operations. Requires safety mindset, ability to read a tape measure, and experience with high-speed, high-volume work.

Position offers health insurance, 401k with company match, life insurance, paid time off, and holidays. OT may be required, with potential for up to 12-hour shifts. Pay rate is $29.50/hr with benefits upon hire.

Qualifications

• A safety mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience with high-speed, high-volume production lines.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work extended shifts when OT is needed.
• Ability to read a tape measure and identify product defects.
• Desire to work in a team environment and be flexible with OT including Saturdays.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: corrugated industry experience; die cutter or flexo operator experience; press and finishing exposure.

Responsibilities

• Mount printing dies and proof for accuracy and compare with other mounter’s work.
• Layout printing mounts and file printing mounts.
• Inspect and repair printing mounts and cutting dies with minimal production impact.
• Maintain ink inventory and store ink properly.
• Complete reports such as Production Data and Safety Data accurately and on time.
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest improvements to meet cost, quality and service goals.
