Job summary

Veterans Health Administration seeks a Supervisory Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist for a large tertiary care medical center. You will supervise a team of DRTs at the GS-9 level and below, oversee imaging operations, and ensure high-quality radiologic services across modalities.

The role requires ARRT certification with CT where assigned, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor staff, coordinate staffing, and optimize patient care while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be United States citizen or eligible for VA appointment
• English proficiency for spoken and written communication as required by VA policy
• Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and CT certification where assigned
• Completion of a 24-month post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program
• One year of experience equivalent to GS-9 level related to the position

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of DRTs at GS-9 and below
• Evaluate new products and equipment; advise upgrades
• Inform management of staffing variances and personnel changes
• Direct development and implementation of services and staff supervision
• Mentor and oversee assigned clinical staff in diagnostic radiology
