Job summary

Personal Growth Counseling Services in Toledo, Ohio is seeking a Licensed Diagnostic Assessor, Lead to blend clinical assessment with departmental leadership. The role conducts DSM-5-based assessments across community settings and oversees scheduling, workflows, and communication standards to ensure timely, quality service.

The position requires a counseling or social work background, Ohio licensure, 3–5 years of diagnostic experience, and experience leading teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current and active Ohio licensure required (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of diagnostic assessment experience.
• Leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based assessment practices.
• Ability to manage workflows, deadlines, scheduling systems, and staff accountability.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, EHR systems, scheduling platforms, and telehealth technologies.
• CPR/First Aid certification and de-escalation training within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assessment scheduling and workflow for the department.
• Monitor caseloads, productivity, and completion rates.
• Ensure timely, accurate clinical documentation in the EHR.
• Communicate with families and referral sources clearly.
• Lead onboarding and training of new assessors.
• Collaborate with Clinical Leadership and Administrative teams.
• Generate weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Identify process improvements to enhance access and efficiency.
• Support staff accountability and departmental performance.
