Job summary

Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) seeks a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive delivery, performance, and reliability of Guidewire platforms in a remote-friendly environment based in Austin, TX. You’ll shape the DevOps vision, optimize CI/CD, automation, and environment governance while mentoring the team.

You will lead Jenkins, IaC, and containerization efforts, partnering with engineering and business teams to scale infrastructure, security, and release processes across the software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of deployment/configuration in Jenkins, network infra, database, cloud and security.
• 5+ years of hands-on SDLC software development, Java preferred.

Responsibilities

• Automate delivery processes and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Own Jenkins lifecycle: backups, upgrades, plugin management, stability.
• Automate DB restores, patches, backups and data integrity workflows.
• Engineer Guidewire build and deployment pipelines and environment management.
• Manage secrets and secure runtime configurations across environments.
• Automate production releases and service orchestration to minimize downtime.
• Maintain EDW/ETL automation processes.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Lead containerization and orchestration initiatives.
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, and reliability engineering.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations on delivery and architecture.
• Provide technical leadership on DevOps best practices and security.
