Lead DevOps Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Automation Engineer with 10 to 14 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SRE, Jenkins, GITHUB, Apigee API Management, DevOps Tools, DevOps Concepts, DevSecOps, Azure Platform, Docker, Container Registry, API Gateway, and Terraform. The role requires domain expertise in Payer and will be a hybrid work model with day shifts.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Location: Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Responsibilities:

1. A DevOps automation engineer with hands-on experience in building CI/CD pipelines.
2. Understanding and working knowledge of infrastructure environments.
3. Problem management skills and relentless drive for root cause and execute measures to reduce repeat occurrences.
4. Good communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills.
5. Lead the design and implementation of scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
6. Oversee the integration of DevOps tools and practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
7. Provide expertise in SRE to ensure system reliability and performance.
8. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GITHUB.
9. Develop and maintain APIs using Apigee API Management.
10. Utilize DevSecOps practices to ensure security is integrated into the development lifecycle.
11. Manage and optimize the Azure Platform for various applications.
12. Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Container Registry.
13. Set up and maintain container environments to support development and production workloads.
14. Implement and manage API Gateways to ensure secure and efficient API traffic.
15. Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform.
16. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.
17. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

1. Overall 8+ years of experience.
2. Experience in Circle CI.
3. Github.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
