Job summary

Covestro in Deerfield, MA is seeking a senior engineer to lead the design and management of trials for flexible and stretchable film substrates in printed electronics applications. You will work hands-on in the application development lab and with customers to enable development and successful implementation of Covestro Specialty Films products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering with 6+ years of experience; OR Master's with 4+ years; OR Ph.D. with 2+ years.
Experience with screen printing of graphic inks on plastic films.
Familiar with AutoCAD.
Familiar with Adobe Illustrator.
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to translate development activities into commercially viable technologies and products.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Specialty Films technical and commercial staff to understand capabilities and limitations for customer processing.
Directly manage design, installation, and commissioning of new application development equipment and methods.
Develop procedures for safe and efficient operation of development equipment at Covestro South Deerfield.
Hands-on work in lab spaces and with customers to ensure effective trial execution.
Drive understanding and capabilities to proactively prepare solutions for customer needs.
Maintain organized environment for equipment, materials, and samples.
