Job summary

Consolidated Nuclear Security, based in Oak Ridge, TN, seeks a mechanical engineer to apply principles in ceramics, polymers, and materials processing. You will interpret requirements, write technical reports, and lead projects from inception to completion, coordinating with modeling teams and presenting findings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering/physical science with ABET accreditation and 2 years/MS with 2 years/PhD.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in mechanical engineering/physical science.
GPA requirements: 3.0/4.0 (Bachelor), 3.3 (Master), 3.5 (PhD).
7+ years experience with BS or 5+ years with MS or 2+ years with PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

Apply technical principles to ceramics, polymers, and other materials.
Interpret engineering requirements and write technical reports.
Coordinate and prepare technical aspects of projects from inception to completion.
Lead and present formal technical reviews to plant personnel.
