Job summary

Consolidated Nuclear Security, based in Oak Ridge, TN, seeks a mechanical engineer to apply principles in ceramics, polymers, and materials processing. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/physical science with ABET accreditation and 2 years/MS with 2 years/PhD.
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in mechanical engineering/physical science.
  • GPA requirements: 3.0/4.0 (Bachelor), 3.3 (Master), 3.5 (PhD).
  • 7+ years experience with BS or 5+ years with MS or 2+ years with PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply technical principles to ceramics, polymers, and other materials.
  • Interpret engineering requirements and write technical reports.
  • Coordinate and prepare technical aspects of projects from inception to completion.
  • Lead and present formal technical reviews to plant personnel.
