Job Summary:
We are looking for a Lead .NET Developer who can hit the ground running with a mature enterprise-grade product. This solution has both on-premise and SaaS/cloud deployments (hosted in our private data center), supported by a unified codebase. The role requires deep backend development skills along with solid experience in handling legacy integrations and modernizing enterprise systems. You will l be expected to quickly get up to speed with our current architecture and play a key role in executing our enhancement roadmap (e.g., Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication) and ongoing maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, and develop new features and enhancements in our core product using .NET and C#.
Collaborate closely with architects and QA to understand functional requirements and provide
scalable solutions.
Dive into and manage some legacy COBOL code, ensuring smooth integration with modern
components.
Manage and optimize SQL Server and, where needed, support customers using Oracle.
Support product deployment across both SaaS and on-prem environments.
Drive bug fixing and performance improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to engineering best practices.
Ensure security compliance and implement enterprise-grade features like SSO and MFA.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in enterprise-level .NET development.
Experience working on both modern codebases and understanding legacy systems.
Comfortable jumping into a large, mature codebase and making meaningful contributions quickly.
Proficient in SQL Server and experienced in optimizing queries, indexing, and schema design.
Exposure to or willingness to handle minor COBOL-based logic.
Strong grasp of enterprise security practices, including authentication and authorization protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Experience with Oracle databases.
Familiarity with on-prem vs. cloud deployment challenges.
Background in identity and access management (e.g., OAuth2, SAML)
Preferred Skills:
Primary: .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API
Legacy: COBOL (for a few existing modules)
Database: SQL Server (primary), Oracle (limited clients)
UI: Angular or React (depending on project needs)
Cloud/Infra: Private Cloud (SaaS), On-Prem Installations
