Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Detailer/Lead with strong constructability and coordination skills to support HVAC, Plumbing, Piping and Sheet Metal projects. You will drive model development, ensure timely feed of constructability insights, and lead cross-team collaboration to minimize rework and deliver accurate shop drawings.

In this role, you will coordinate with designers and modelers, manage resources, and contribute to the project’s design pull schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting basic construction documents.
• Proficient with HVAC, Plumbing, Piping, Sheet Metal trades.
• Ability to coordinate projects and multi-task.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailing team and constructability on smaller projects.
• Partner with design/modeling group to minimize model rework.
• Lead project communication to ensure concerns are resolved.
• Provide material, content and feedback to team members as needed.
• Lead final trade coordination and sign-off with the General Contractor.
• Contribute to design pull schedule to meet deliverables.
• Manage resources assigned to the project.
• Participate in conceptual design efforts to promote modular construction and constructability standards.
• Support budget and cost accountability.
