Job summary

Tom Wood Subaru in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Detail Specialist Lead who combines hands-on vehicle detailing with team leadership. In this role you will guide a detail crew, streamline workflows, and ensure every vehicle meets our high standards before delivery.

You’ll coach teammates, monitor quality, maintain supplies, and collaborate with management to keep operations running smoothly. The position offers full-time hours with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Automotive detailing experience preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality detailing services that leave customers impressed every time
• Clean, wash, wax, buff, vacuum, and sanitize vehicles inside and out
• Inspect vehicles for imperfections, damage, and areas needing additional attention
• Help coordinate daily workflow and ensure vehicles are completed on schedule
• Support and train newer detail team members on proper processes and expectations
• Monitor quality standards and provide feedback to ensure consistent results
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and detailing products
• Communicate effectively with management and other departments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace
• Assist with additional responsibilities to keep operations running smoothly

Are you an experienced Detail Specialist who takes pride in your work and has the leadership skills to help guide a team? Tom Wood Subaru is looking for a motivated, hands-on Detail Specialist Lead to join our growing team!This role is perfect for someone who enjoys detailing vehicles while also helping organize workflow, support team members, and maintain the high standards our customers expect.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform high-quality detailing services that leave customers impressed every time

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous automotive detailing experience preferred
• Leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Ability to motivate and support a team while maintaining accountability
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Knowledge of detailing equipment, tools, and cleaning products
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
