Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP seeks a Lead Designer (E/I) in Carson/Wilmington, CA. You will develop cost-effective designs, coordinate with field teams, and produce complete instrumentation documentation using AutoCAD, SPI, and SI tools. The role requires 8+ years in design, including refinery E/I, and a valid driver's license.

You will work on 9/80 or 5/40 schedules, support TAR annually, and be on site with core business hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed before start date.
• Minimum 8 years of design experience in engineering; 4+ years in E/I in refinery/related industry.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Raster Design; Microsoft 365 tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost-effective, routing-based designs considering safety and construction practices.
• Prepare bid/construction packages using CAD software and discipline standards.
• Create BOMs and perform data collection from field sites and drawings.
• Coordinate with teams, visit sites, and verify instrument terminations and spares.
• Manage multiple programs to meet schedules and control costs.
