Job summary

• 6+ years of aircraft structural design experience.
• Deep knowledge of composite airframe structures.
• Familiarity with FAA Part 23 and/or Part 25.

Looking for a Senior or Lead Structures Design Engineer to be onsite in San Diego, CA developing a clean-sheet, next-generation aircraft platform. You will take technical ownership of the airframe and lead structural development from early design through build, test, and first flight.

What You’ll Own

• Lead the structural design and development of a clean-sheet aircraft
• Own the overall airframe structural approach from concept through first flight
• CAD Design
• Drive structural design decisions around load paths, joints, composites, manufacturability, and assembly

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of aircraft structural design experience
• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Deep experience with composite airframe structures
• Familiarity with FAA Part 23 and/or Part 25
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced aircraft development environment
