Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Design Manager to lead detail engineering for minerals processing facilities, coordinating internal and external teams, and driving project workflows from detail design through delivery. You will own design quality, manage interfaces, and ensure safety and compliance while building partnerships with vendors and EPC partners.

The role requires 7–15+ years in project engineering or EPC/EPCM environments and a strong track record in cross-disciplinary collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 7–15+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, chemical, or related discipline).
• Familiarity with engineering project workflows (planning, risk management, document control, design reviews).
• Strong communication and coordination skills across disciplines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, principle-based environment under schedule pressure.
• Familiarity with applicable industry codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead detail design of industrial facilities, focusing on minerals processing plants.
• Coordinate internal and external engineering teams and vendors.
• Develop and maintain project workflows and design activities.
• Manage approvals, document control, and progress updates.
• Lead cross-discipline engineering reviews with process, mechanical, structural, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and construction teams.
• Own project performance for cost and schedule against metrics.
• Build relationships with external partners and contractors.
• Support fabrication and construction with issue resolution.
• Lead safety in design and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare project status reports and track deliverables.
