Job summary

FECON, LLC in Lebanon, Ohio seeks a Lead Design Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative, cost-effective, safe and reliable products for manufacturing. This role owns projects from concept through launch within the NPD Stage/Gate process and acts as a technical resource and mentor to the engineering team and co-ops, providing expertise to resolve production and field issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in product design and development.
• Experience with ECR/ECN, BOMs and part-number management.
• Experience leading projects or mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept to launch within the NPD Stage/Gate process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define specifications and feasibility.
• Support prototyping, testing and field issue resolution across departments.
• Mentor co-ops and junior engineers; drive cost reductions and reliability improvements.
