Job summary

Sabre Industries, Inc. in Texas seeks a Sr. Design Engineer to lead a high-performing Engineering Dept. and ensure on-time delivery of steel pole transmission designs.

You will drive continuous improvement, enforce standards, mentor staff, and collaborate with managers on large projects, staying current with Inventor and AutoCAD. Requires a Master’s in Engineering and 5+ years of leadership in steel utility structures.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering; Civil or Mechanical preferred.
• 5+ years of team leadership experience in steel utility structure manufacturing or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Engineering; personnel, systems, processes and CI initiatives.
• Lead the Engineering Dept. to exceed business demands and deliver high-quality designs on schedule.
• Improve and enforce engineering standards; advance design software capabilities (Inventor/AutoCAD).
• Collaborate with leadership on CI initiatives and project strategies; establish metrics for productivity and quality.
• Mentor and develop team through training and knowledge transfer; drive timely project execution.
