Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority seeks a Design Architect/Engineer Supervisory to manage and supervise teams in large capital projects during design and construction across DCA, IAD, and related facilities. The role oversees CCP, COMIP, CIP, and R&R programs, coordinating with airlines, tenants, and stakeholders to minimize operational impact.

Qualifications

• Eight years of progressively responsible design management experience in building and/or civil engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• A master’s degree may substitute for two years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises team(s) of project managers and project administrators to deliver CCP/CIP/R&R projects.
• Allocates resources to meet quality, schedule and budget goals.
• Enforces reviews of design documents for compliance and constructability.
• Prepares and delivers presentations to upper management.
• Acts as Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) for design and consultant contracts.
• Coordinates with other departments, airlines, tenants and stakeholders.
