Job summary

Pogue Construction is expanding its in-house design capability to deliver more Design-Build projects. The Licensed Design Architect leads design from concept through construction, aligning client goals with budgets and schedules while driving constructability and design intent.

This role requires a NAAB-degree in architecture and licensure consideration, with 5–10 years of relevant experience and a strong track record in design-build, IPD, or CM-at-risk environments.

Qualifications

• Professional architectural degree from a NAAB-accredited program.
• Active architectural registration preferred; licensure considered.
• 5–10 years of architectural experience on commercial/education projects.
• Experience in design-build, IPD, or CM-at-risk delivery preferred.
• Proven ability to drive design intent and collaborate with builders and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full design process for Design-Build projects from concept to construction.
• Serve as primary design representative for all design-related matters.
• Drive design intent early to balance cost, constructability, and quality.
• Coordinate with clients and teams; manage communication across stakeholders.
• Work from federated BIM model, integrating design with estimating and scheduling.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts and RFIs early in the process.
