Join Boeing, a leader in aerospace innovation, as a Mission Systems Test Engineer (Level 5) supporting a Phantom Works Fixed‑Wing Proprietary Program located in St Louis, MO.

You will be joining a talented team responsible for executing the Mission Systems test plan. The successful candidate will implement test infrastructure to maximize automation using the latest digital tools, perform verification/validation activities, and deliver Advanced Mission System Capabilities to our warfighter. This includes automated test tool creation and hands‑on testing in a lab environment of Mission Systems equipment, sensors, communication systems, and weapons.

The role is part of a cross‑functional team integrating Advanced Mission Systems Capabilities as part of a critical development effort. You will operate in an agile development environment, mature our products through the lifecycle, work on next‑generation open‑architecture model‑based designs, and collaborate across multiple disciplines.

Position Responsibilities

• Implement a test infrastructure to maximize automation using the latest digital tools
• Perform Mission Systems verification/validation test integrating multiple hardware and software components
• Support testing efforts of component and subsystem groups
• Execute Mission Systems integration testing
• Create or update automated test tools and scripts
• Operate in a lab environment to verify interfaces between Mission Systems hardware and software components
• Define necessary lab infrastructure updates required for Mission Systems verification test
• Research technology advances for potential application to company business needs
• Test and validate system functionality and performance to ensure designs meet operational and functional requirements
• Document hardware or software anomalies and report test metrics to all stakeholders
• Continuously assess and update engineering processes for improvement

This position is expected to be 100% on‑site at the specified location. The selected candidate must obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; a Final U.S. Secret Clearance post‑start is required.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• Level 5: 14+ years of work‑related experience with a bachelor’s degree OR 12+ years with a master’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher
• Experience supporting a proprietary program
• Experience executing in an Agile work environment and implementing Agile methodologies
• Experience using Cameo or similar Model‑Based Systems Engineering tools
• Experience with modern software development methodologies, including DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Mission Systems Open Architecture Standards
• Experience across multiple phases of the product life‑cycle
• Final U.S. Top Secret clearance (preferred)
