Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Lead Demand Planner to own forecasting for customers and products within our Supply Chain team. You will build statistical models, leverage forecasting software and Oracle, and partner with sales, marketing, finance, and retailers to drive the S&OP process.

You will review historical trends, identify demand drivers, develop consensus forecasts, and manage a team of demand planners while tracking KPI metrics such as forecast accuracy, fill rate and inventory turns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business or related technical field.
• 7+ years directly related experience.
• Experience leading others and presenting to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong written and oral communication for presentations.

Responsibilities

• Review historical sales trends and demand drivers; prepare forecast data and models.
• Interact with sales, marketing, and finance to develop consensus forecasts across categories.
• Develop forecasts for new product launches and align cross-functionally in S&OP.
• Maintain KPI dashboards: forecast accuracy, fill rate, inventory turns, excess & obsolete.
• Supervise a team of demand planners and lead related projects.

Within our Supply Chain department, we have multiple focus areas, including Demand Planning.The Lead Demand Planner position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. Leveraging forecasting software, the position creates and maintains statistical models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and a collaborative effort with sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources.This role is accountable for the Demand portion of the monthly S&OP process. This involves compiling global forecast and gaining formal business alignment to the Demand Plan. The plan is then passed to suppliers for long term inventory and capacity planning.
