Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Lead Engineer/SME to serve as the subject matter expert for Generating Station Distributed Control Systems (DCS). You will provide technical support to operations, maintenance and projects across diverse generation technologies and regions.

The role requires an ABET-accredited engineering degree, a PE license, and a minimum of eight years of engineering experience. Travel within the home region is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have an ABET-accredited engineering degree and PE licensure.
• Minimum eight years of engineering experience required.
• A Master's degree can substitute for the BS in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME-level technical support for DCS across multiple generation facilities.
• Lead and mentor engineering staff with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate fleet-level standards, practices, and procedures.
