Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced field cabling technician to install and troubleshoot structured cabling systems across multiple job sites in the Greater Hampton Roads and Richmond area. This role is primarily field-based with HQ in Williamsburg and requires reading blueprints, coordinating with teams, and delivering high-quality work.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cabling installations, BICSI/Panduit/Ortronics training, and a reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Five years installing/troubleshooting structured cabling systems (Cat5/6, Fiber, Patch Panels, 110/66-Blocks, 25-Pairs, Building racks, ladder rack, grounding/bonding).
• Three years leading installation crews and coordinating with office teams, project teams and clients.
• Applicable Industry trainings - BICSI Installer/Technician, Panduit, Ortronics or equivalent.
• Experience with audio/video and/or security/surveillance is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction techniques and safety protocols.
• Computer and networking experience; own basic industry tools; reliable vehicle with valid driver license.

Salary: $25 - $40 per hour

Requirements

• Three years leading installation crews, running projects, reading blueprints, communicating with office team, project team and client.

This position resides primarily in the field. Our HQ is in Williamsburg. Job sites in Greater Hampton Roads and Richmond.
