Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a senior engineer to lead the design, engineering, and evolution of the enterprise Databricks platform as a strategic capability for analytics, data products, machine learning, and AI across the organization.

You will develop reusable platform services, automation frameworks, and self-service capabilities that accelerate delivery while aligning with architecture standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance developer experience, drive platform

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years designing and supporting Databricks platform solutions.
• Strong experience with Azure cloud services and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with Terraform, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Apache Spark, and MLflow.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and evolution of the enterprise Databricks platform.
• Develop platform services, architectures, and self-service capabilities.
• Build IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and automation to boost scalability and reliability.
• Enable ML and AI capabilities using MLflow, Feature Store, and Vector Search.
• Mentor teams and promote Platform-as-a-Product principles.
