NTT DATA seeks a Lead Database Architect for a proposal effort scheduled for award in late 2025.

The Lead Database Architect will oversee multiple technical and functional database administrators. Responsibilities include designing databases, warehouses, sharing, integration, and security based on state and federal requirements. The role involves planning business intelligence and analytics systems, overseeing data models, data taxonomy, and data standards used by project teams, maintaining data health and performance, and researching products, tools, processes, and procedures for innovation.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for project technical and functional DBAs.
• Lead large-scale projects.
• Develop and maintain database models and schemas.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with development teams to meet application data needs.
• Manage monitoring and troubleshooting of database issues.
• Maintain physical integrity and performance of all production databases.
• Manage daily operations to meet or exceed contractual and service level agreements.
• Apply advanced knowledge of database principles, practices, and government data security requirements (HIPAA, NIST, CJIS, etc.).
• Support the design, development, and maintenance of Business Intelligence and Analytics applications.
• Research and introduce innovative solutions to improve data quality and performance.
• Work with State and Federal Health and Human Services Data.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with state-level health and human services projects.
• Minimum of 5 years of database administration experience, including database definition, design, configuration, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Undergraduate degree in IT or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Graduate degree.
• Database Administration certification (e.g., Azure, Oracle, Db2).

Salary range for this remote role is $109,275.00 to $182,125.00, depending on experience, location, and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, flexible spending or HSA, life and disability insurance, paid time off, 401k with company match, and more.
