Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Lead Database Administrator to guide design, implementation, and maintenance of complex database environments across Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata and cloud-native platforms such as MongoDB and Cassandra. You will lead HA strategies and data management across hybrid and multi-cloud data infrastructure.

In this role, you will mentor DBAs, define backup/recovery, optimize performance, and collaborate with development teams to ensure data integrity and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience with Oracle/SQL/Teradata in multi-platform environments.
• Strong knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and data security.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure grid infrastructure, databases, and clients.
• Design, implement and maintain High Availability solutions (RAC, Data Guard).
• Plan projects, define scope, timelines, and assign deliverables.
• Serve as escalation point for alerts and performance issues.
• Install, configure, monitor GoldenGate replication.
• Utilize OEM for monitoring and diagnostics; tune performance.
• Perform capacity planning and collaborate with development teams on PL/SQL.
• Coach junior DBAs and coordinate with stakeholders and vendors.
