Job summary

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to manage technical projects, including data engineering, model design, and deployment in internal and client environments. You will develop domain expertise across financial services, health, and other industries while collaborating with OW Digital teams.

You will work with partners to deliver high-impact data-driven solutions, applying modern ML methods and ensuring production readiness across platforms and environments.

Qualifications

• Technical background in computer science, data science, machine learning, statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Experience designing and deploying large-scale production systems implementing modern data science methods at scale.
• Proficiency with cloud-based infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Terraform) to enable rapid deployments across environments.
• Proficiency in Python and the ML lifecycle, from data storage to model persistence and monitoring.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, MXNet, ONNX, etc.
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• A track record of open-source contributions is valued.
• Strong grounding in Statistics, Linear Algebra and Vector Calculus.
• Interest in Financial Services, Capital Markets, Healthcare/Life Sciences, or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Exploring data, building models, and evaluating performance to solve business problems.
• Explaining and refining models with stakeholders throughout the development cycle.
• Staying current with modelling techniques and data engineering methodologies.
• Advocating best practices in modelling, code hygiene, and data engineering.
• Leading development of proprietary statistical techniques and analytical tools.
• Collaborating with Partners to shape proposals leveraging data science capabilities.
