Job summary

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive technical projects across data engineering, model design, and deployment in client environments. You will collaborate with partners and consultants to deliver production-ready solutions and shape proposals.

The role requires deep ML expertise (Python, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch), cloud infrastructure as code, and strong communication to translate business needs into analytics. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of designing and deploying large-scale technical solutions delivering value
• Experience deploying production systems with modern data science methods at scale
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure-as-code to deploy solutions across environments
• Full ML lifecycle expertise using open-source libraries and frameworks
• Strong grounding in statistics, linear algebra and related math concepts
• Experience presenting at high-impact data science conferences is valued
• Interest in Financial Services, healthcare or Life Sciences industries

Responsibilities

• Exploring data, building models, and evaluating solution performance to resolve core business problems
• Explaining, refining, and collaborating with stakeholders through the journey of model building
• Keeping up with state-of-the-art modelling and data engineering methodologies
• Advocating best practices in modelling, code hygiene and data engineering
• Leading development of proprietary statistical techniques, algorithms or analytical tools on projects
• Working with Partners and Principals to shape proposals that leverage data science capabilities
