Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive strategic analytics across CX, operations, asset performance and cost optimisation. You will partner with senior leaders, shape data-driven strategies, and deliver advanced analytics and predictive modelling.

The role demands deep technical expertise, business acumen, and a proven record of leading projects from concept to implementation with minimal supervision. Excellent communication to non-technical audiences is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, CS.
• 10+ years in data science or related analytics functions.
• 3+ years Python experience building ML models and forecasting.
• 3+ years advanced SQL with complex query optimisation.
• Strong statistical knowledge and experimental design.
• Experience presenting insights to executives and influencing decisions.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from problem definition through deployment and monitoring.
• Mentor junior analysts and data scientists on methodology and execution.
• Present findings and recommendations to executive audiences.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify analytics challenges and opportunities.
• Develop predictive models, segmentation frameworks, and analytics solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and scalable data processes.
