Compass is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to spearhead predictive modeling, research, and analytics strategy. You will partner with business stakeholders and engineering leaders to translate goals into analytical frameworks and drive data-driven decision making.

You will mentor junior scientists, advance state-of-the-art ML methods, and uphold software engineering standards while delivering impactful insights for product and market strategies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science with a track record of end-to-end projects.
• Deep expertise in time-series forecasting, deep learning, and causal inference.
• Experience producing scalable ML solutions and familiarity with MLOps.
• Proficient in Python and SQL for data manipulation, statistics, and modeling.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and mentoring teammates.
• Strong communication and collaboration with senior stakeholders and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development, validation, and deployment of large-scale predictive models.
• Design data-driven research to analyze factors affecting business outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and engineering teams to identify opportunities.
