Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Lead/Principal Data Scientist to provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of data scientists. The role drives scientific rigor, oversees end-to-end ML projects, and collaborates with ML/infra teams to deploy models responsibly at scale.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on data science experience, deep ML expertise (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and strong Python/SQL skills, with cloud proficiency on GCP and Vertex AI.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with strong quantitative foundation.
• 7+ years hands-on data science experience in production ML.
• Experience mentoring data scientists and leading projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the data science team.
• Ensure CRISP-DM and AI governance are followed across projects.
• Develop and deploy ML models (classification/regression) in production.
• Collaborate with ML Engineer, MLOps, Data Engineers and infra teams.
