Job description

Aimpoint Digital is a premier analytics consulting firm dedicated to driving business value through expertise in data strategy, analytics, decision sciences, and data engineering. This position is within our decision sciences practice, focusing on delivering solutions via machine learning and statistical modeling.

What You Will Do

As a part of Aimpoint Digital, you will enable clients to maximize their data assets. You will collaborate with all levels of client organizations to develop value-driven solutions that extract insights and train clients on managing and maintaining these solutions. Typical solutions will involve machine learning, AI, statistical analysis, automation, optimization, and data visualization. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will work independently on client engagements, contribute to practice development, aid in business development, and bring innovative ideas to the company.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Designing end-to-end analytical solutions in collaboration with clients
  2. Solving complex data science use-cases across various industries independently
  3. Developing feature engineering pipelines, ML & AI infrastructure, deploying models, and orchestrating analytical insights
  4. Writing code in SQL, Python, and Spark following best practices
  5. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

Who We Are Looking For

We seek collaborative individuals eager to drive value, thrive in fast-paced environments, and solve real business problems. You should be proficient in coding efficient, optimized solutions leveraging Databricks features, and capable of delivering solutions that are understandable, implementable, and maintainable by clients. You think holistically about the machine learning pipeline, from brainstorming to deployment, and value continuous learning and teaching. Key traits include:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
  • Experience building high-quality Data Science models addressing business problems
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage workstreams
  • At least 3 years of experience deploying ML models on platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP, or Databricks
  • Applying data science methodologies to real-life projects
  • Expertise in software engineering principles and best practices
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, capable of leading projects and initiatives
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Consulting experience
  • Databricks ML certifications
  • Familiarity with tools like Python, SKLearn, XGBoost, SparkML
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Knowledge of model deployment options (Azure Functions, FastAPI, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM, Databricks Asset Bundles)
  • Understanding of advanced ML techniques including graph processing, computer vision, NLP, and simulation modeling
  • Experience with generative AI and LLMs like LLamaIndex and LangChain
  • Knowledge of MLOps or LLMOps
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
