Job summary

Schlumberger is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to provide technical leadership in building scalable data‑science and AI solutions for asset‑intensive industries. You will own end‑to‑end PHM workflows, time‑series prognostics, and LLM‑based applications integrated with enterprise data sources.

The role involves leading model development, governance, and deployment in production, with emphasis on forecasting, anomaly detection, and decision support for asset optimization.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related STEM field, plus 3 years of post‑baccalaureate experience.
• Experience applying domain knowledge to develop or deploy ML solutions using operational and sensor data for PHM, condition monitoring, or production optimization.
• Reliability analytics using operational, sensor, and event‑based data.
• Deploying and operating ML models in production, including edge or near‑edge applications.
• Integrating ML/DL/LLM systems with production engineering workflows and dashboards.
• Experience with enterprise data science and cloud platforms (Dataiku, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Generative AI, RAG, and building interactive analytics interfaces (React/Angular/Dash/Streamlit).
• Experience building dashboards and analytical interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in design, development, deployment, and lifecycle management of AI/ML solutions for industrial engineering applications.
• Lead prognostics and health management models using time-series and sensor data for asset health monitoring.
• Architect and deploy production‑grade AI workflows, dashboards, and LLM‑based tools integrated with enterprise data sources.
