As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting datasets by using statistical techniques, machine learning, and/or programming skills in order to extract insights and build models which solve business problems.
Day to Day:
- Process and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
- Deliver analytical results through effective visualizations and clear written communication for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams—including data analysts, data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders—to understand data needs and support complex business requirements.
- Develop advanced predictive models and machine‑learning algorithms, integrating them into existing systems or new products.
- Lead data science initiatives, including project execution, data visualization, data quality improvements, and incident troubleshooting with root‑cause resolution.
- Drive documentation and process improvements for managing incidents, changes, problems, tasks, and demand tracking.
- Coach and mentor team members on new technologies, methodologies, and best practices in data science and business intelligence.
- Maintain deep expertise in at least one business domain and a solid understanding of processes across multiple areas of the organization.
- Support and contribute to the advancement of the organization’s strategic data science roadmap.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree with five (5) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiarity with data science tools, such as Azure Databricks, Power BI, Microsoft Office (including Excel pivot tables), Spark, Python, R and C.
- Supply chain functions experience
Plusses:
- Expertise in Power Platforms
- Familiarity with LLM (open source or closed)
- Experience in Front end web app development (Flaskapp, Gradio etc)
- Familiarity with RAG architecture
- Experience from manufacturing, automotive, industrial, or engineering industry is preferred, but is open to other industries like healthcare, retail, or biotech.
