Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to own and scale the GTM forecasting engine across North America markets. You will modernize forecasting methodologies, deploy machine learning modules for category-level demand accuracy, and partner with demand planners to validate outputs.

You will lead a small data science team, drive product enhancements on the oneNA roadmap, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate insights into business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline is required.
• Master’s is preferred.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in applied data science, advanced analytics, or forecasting, including ownership of end-to-end analytical solutions in production environments.
• Demonstrated experience developing, deploying, and maintaining forecasting or predictive modeling solutions at scale.
• Technical Skills: Strong expertise in statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, and machine learning, including model validation, accuracy/bias assessment, and performance diagnostics.
• Proficient in Python with production-quality, well-documented, reusable code.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., Azure), including automated pipelines, model deployment, and runtime or cost optimization.
• Product Ownership: independently own complex analytical products, lifecycle management, and roadmap definition.
• Experience modernizing existing methodologies and driving standardization, scalability, and governance.
• Business Partnership: partnering with stakeholders to translate insights into decisions.
• Excellent ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Leadership: provide technical leadership and mentorship to data scientists, guiding modeling approaches, code quality, and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a core owner of the GTM forecasting engine, ensuring markets evolve into a scalable, standardized product.
• Modernize forecasting methodologies and deploy DS modules to support category-level forecast accuracy and governance.
• Partner with demand planners and forecast analysts to validate outputs.
• Lead prioritization and delivery of product enhancements aligned with the oneNA roadmap.
• Lead a small team of data scientists, providing technical direction and coaching.
