Elder Research Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Defense and Intelligence unit at Fort Meade. You will develop ML models, analyze large datasets, and deliver data-driven insights to clients.

The role requires TS/SCI with Poly and strong communication skills; you will lead a small team and collaborate with cross-functional staff to translate analytics into actionable recommendations. We offer growth and a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Requires TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proficiency with Python and R.
• Experience with large data sets and ML, data wrangling, and advanced statistical analysis.
• AWS or Cloud experience.
• Ability to explain complex models in non-technical language.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning, data mining, statistical, and graph-based algorithms for large datasets.
• Prototype and evaluate multiple algorithms using rigorous performance metrics.
• Design experiments or models when training data is unavailable.
• Generate reports and visualizations providing actionable client insights.
• Lead a team of data scientists across analytic efforts.
