Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Data Scientist Manager to lead the Client Analytics team. You will own complex AI/ML projects, deploy at scale, and translate insights into business decisions for clients and advisors.

You will mentor teams, advance best practices, and collaborate with product and technology partners to ensure responsible AI governance and impactful outcomes. In-office collaboration is emphasized with hybrid work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or related).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience delivering advanced analytics, machine learning, or applied AI solutions.
• Strong foundation in statistics, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
• Experience with modern data science tools, data visualization tools, and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, ML frameworks).
• Experience working in cloud-based platforms, preferably AWS or Snowflake.
• Proven ability to independently own complex problems and deliver production-ready solutions.
• Proven ability to present/communicate complex, technical materials to non-technical partners.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and support multiple projects at one time.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI and machine learning solutions addressing complex business problems in client and advisor analytics.
• Translate ambiguous business needs into clear analytical approaches by partnering with stakeholders to frame problems, define success measures, develop hypotheses, and communicate insights.
• Support the full lifecycle of data science and AI solutions from problem framing through deployment and monitoring.
• Lead the analytics strategy and enhancement of the field-facing recommendation engine with product and technology teams.
• Ensure solutions meet data, model, and AI governance standards with enterprise policies and validation.
• Mentor peers, share knowledge, and stay current on emerging AI and analytics techniques.
