Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Lead Aftermarket Data Scientist to enable services growth by leveraging advanced analytics on global asset data. You will collaborate with aftermarket leads, insights teams, and Cat Digital Analytics to maximize value from digital products and services.

You will work on projects exploiting ML/AI methods, building production‑ready solutions and communicating insights through compelling messaging and presentations.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in data science, statistics, mathematics, or similar field.
• 3–5 years of professional quantitative analysis experience.
• Experience taking a POC to production and forecasting insights.
• Experience with data from multiple business domains and forecast delivery.

Responsibilities

• Participate on 3–4 projects concurrently applying advanced statistical methods.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration and present actionable results.
• Develop analytical solutions using Caterpillar aftermarket data.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders.
