Job summary

NiSource, based in Columbus, OH, seeks a Lead Data Scientist for a full-time, hybrid role. You will build advanced ML/AI models, translate complex data into strategy insights, and present findings to data scientists, stakeholders and leaders across the organization.

You will lead analytics from ideation to delivery, mentor teammates, and collaborate with business clients to translate needs into actionable solutions using cloud and data-tech expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 7+ years as a data scientist, data analyst, or similar role.
• 7+ years coding in statistical and database languages (SQL, Python, R, Spark, etc).
• 7+ years of experience using machine learning such as NLP, image recognition, boosted trees, or related duties.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platform tools and techniques.

Lead Data Scientist Full Time Perm Shift: Hybrid - 3 days on location Salary: $133,400 - $200,100, plus 10% annual bonus Location: Columbus, OH

• Serve as an expert in translating complex data into key strategy insights and valuable actions
• Discover insights from data and present them to other data scientists, business stakeholders, and leaders at various levels
• Perform data exploration and data mining
• Build impactful modeling solutions with AI and Machine Learning techniques

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 7+ years of experience as a data scientist, data analyst, or similar role

• Strong knowledge of cloud platform tools and techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree or advanced degree in statistics, data science, physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or comparable discipline
