Job summary

Stone Alliance Group seeks a Data Science and Engineering Manager to lead the DAIR team in New York City, overseeing 10+ staff across data science and software engineering. You will drive complex AI research initiatives in mental health, manage project planning, risk, and stakeholder communication, and ensure timely delivery in a hybrid NY/CA-based setting.

The role requires 8+ years in technical PM, 5+ years in data science and programming, and strong leadership within multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field required.
• 8+ years in technical project management for software/data/AI projects.
• 8+ years with software development lifecycle, data engineering, ML, or cloud concepts.
• 5+ years with project management tools (Notion, Jira, Kanban).
• 5+ years in data analysis and data science fundamentals.
• 5+ years in at least one scientific programming language (Python/R/ Matlab) and toolboxes (SciPy, Sklearn, Polars, PyTorch).
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-phase projects in software development with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate plans, timelines, risks, and deliverables with cross-functional teams.
• Lead the product development lifecycle from road mapping to execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure efficient workflow and communication.
• Achieve consensus on product vision across research, design, engineering, and data science.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to stay on budget.
• Help design and implement clinical validation and QA testing for data generation and software development.
• Ensure data quality, security, and privacy compliance.
