Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• 2+ years in a technical lead / lead engineer role driving design and delivery with cross-functional partners
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot and strong working proficiency in Python for automation
• Experience designing and operating Kafka-based systems with reliable delivery semantics
• Strong MySQL experience and data modeling skills
• Familiarity with NoSQL datastores and search technologies
• Experience with AWS cloud platforms
• Hands-on React experience building UIs with data-heavy grids
• Understanding of AI-assisted development tools and secure SDLC

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of a React UI and Java/Spring Boot backend monitoring solution for scalability and low latency
• Define event-driven microservices workflows using Kafka with at-least-once delivery and retry patterns
• Set engineering standards for Spring Boot services including API design and security
• Translate monitoring requirements into technical designs and execution plans
• Design data access patterns across MySQL and Databricks for efficient queries
• Shape deployment strategy on AWS with blue/green or canary approaches
• Own CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins including automated builds and tests
• Develop and maintain the React UI and AG Grid data grids with strong frontend quality controls
• Ensure observability through metrics, logs, and tracing and establish incident response playbooks
• Promote enterprise AI-assisted practices with secure validation and code quality
• Leverage SDLC tools and automation to maximize value
